Asymmetric encryption used with public and private mathematically related keys provides security on the blockchain. Only those with private keys are able to use voting accounts.

Security on the Ethereum Blockchain Electronic Voting System

The elimination of many of the parties involved in the collection of votes by the blockchain system could potentially minimize operation costs for elections.

Fairness on the Ethereum E-Voting System

The blockchain only stores the public address of each digital wallet. This means that no other information about voters is stored allowing for anonymity.
These public addresses are then used to track transactions such as votes.

Anonymity on the Ethereum E-Voting System

The electronic voting system is on a decentralized server allowing for autonomy.

Autonomy on the Ethereum E-Voting System

Ballots are stored in the blockchain allowing users to check how many votes each candidate obtained. This also allows straightforward auditing of the results.

Transparency on the Ethereum E-Voting System

In order to participate in elections, users need verification from the voting institution that created the election. Users also have to be registered in the blockchain system.
